Our Committees
Church Council
At the core of this ministry is the administration of the congregation's resources, i.e., finances, yes, but also people resources. The work of administration is shared with many committees of the church who have specific ministries; they keep Council informed with monthly reports. The Council keeps the building open so it can be used for ministries by St. Paul's and also other groups such as Boy Scouts and Weight Watchers. The Council works with the calendar of the congregation. The Council is entrusted with making sure the activities of St. Paul's live out our mission statement: St. Paul's is an active community of faith dedicated to serving God through Jesus Christ. Our ongoing ministry seeks to nurture our spirit and enable us to grow as disciples through worship, fellowship, mission, and outreach.

Treasurer's Committee
This committee oversees the finances of the congregation, counting our offering, receiving other income, paying the bills, and reporting monthly to Council on the financial status of the church. The treasurers also do much more than just balance our checkbook! They also call together a Budget Committee to propose a budget for the upcoming year and give direction to our annual stewardship campaign. We thank them for all the work they do and their commitment to this important area within our church administration.

Christian Education
The work of our Christian Education Committee is growing. In the past year they have been looking at several different ways that Sunday School can be offered, assessing which is the best way for our current needs at St. Paul's. What we have found in our experiments is that the best time for Sunday School is after worship and that a one room schoolhouse approach best meets our children's needs. The Education Committee has also discovered that during the summer months, once-a-month field trips are the best way to provide Christian Education. Along with selecting curriculum and teaching Sunday School, the Education Committee stays in touch with the needs of all of our members in thinking about how we continue to learn about our faith throughout our lifetimes.

Personnel Committee
This is a new committee for St. Paul's. It is entrusted as being the liaison between the congregation and the employed staff of St. Paul's. This is a committee that practices mutual ministry, a group that constantly explores the relationship between and differences among paid staff and volunteers. This small committee performs evaluations of the employees, including the pastor, and makes recommendations to the budget team on pay increases. This committee also creates a way for employees to give feedback to the congregation on how the church works and accomplishes its ministry.
