Our Mission Statement
St. Paul's is an active community of faith, dedicated to serving God through Jesus Christ. Our ongoing ministry seeks to nurture our spirit and enable us to grow as disciples through worship, fellowship, mission and outreach.
Worship
We come together with others to praise God, confess our sins and receive forgiveness, listen for God’s Word and respond to God’s love. In worship, we remember who we are and Whose we are. We believe in a Sovereign God. We believe in a Saving Christ. We believe in a Serving Church.
Sacrament of Holy Communion
St. Paul's practices "open communion", which means that all who confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are welcome at this table. He is our Host and we are His guests.
Christian Education
Encompasses all the ways we teach the story of the good news of Jesus Christ to our children and continue to learn about and grow in our faith as adults as we discern our individual and collective call to be Christ’s disciples.
Evangelism
This includes the things that we do to make our church inviting and accessible to others, including activities that announce the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The goal of our evangelism is to make the living presence of the good news of Jesus Christ available to others.
Congregational Care
Encompasses all of the ways that we care for our members of our congregation. It includes care during times of crisis, need, or significant change; the ways that we assimilate new members into the life of the congregation, fellowship groups and activities.
Stewardship
Promotes the responsibility we bear for caring for God’s gifts to us, including the gift of the church and its mission. Stewardship reminds us that we are not the owners, but rather we are called to manage the gifts God has given us according to the Owner’s purposes and plans. These gifts include our church building and grounds, the church’s finances and investments, the potential of our members to support the mission of the church through gifts of time, talents and money.
Mission and Outreach
Encompasses all of the ways that we care for our community and world, through our benevolence giving, active involvement with mission projects, involvement with the community in ways that show that Jesus has called us to love our neighbors. (Our "Share Wear" gently used clothes closet.)
